Some interior spaces simply demand more: more durability, more strength, more chemical resistance, more hygienic capabilities -- and more freedom when it comes to color and design.
From hospitals and schools to restrooms and fitness centers, the need for high-performance interior materials no longer requires an architect to check their creativity at the door.
Fundermax has heard the frustrations of architects, and in response, we have developed interior phenolic panels with a special surface that can be used in high-traffic and particularly sensitive interiors while offering the same design freedom of exterior phenolic wall panel systems.

Max Compact Interior Plus (also referred to as Interior Plus) is an exciting development for Fundermax phenolic panels. These panels bring all of the color and design options from the exterior space to the interior, which means your designs can be more cohesive than ever.
The internal makeup of Max Compact Interior Plus phenolic panels is essentially the same as our original Max Compact Interior panels, which includes
phenolic resin
décor paper
and our patented acrylic surface
The outer layer of Interior Plus panels receives a specialized finish called Interior Plus (or IP) which makes the phenolic panel exceptionally durable and suitable for countertops, casework, and even laboratory applications.
Architects asked that the abundant color options available for our exterior phenolic wall panels be made available for interior applications, so our product developers created Interior Plus phenolic panels.
But, Interior Plus panels do more than just provide additional color options; they allow architects ultimate design freedom and make way for further collaboration between exterior, interior, and/or laboratory designers. A cohesive design can now extend further than ever before, even to the most sensitive areas and surfaces.
Due to the material’s non-porous surface and outstanding chemical resistance, Interior Plus phenolic panels are easy to clean and disinfect, and surfaces can look brand-new again even after heavy contamination.
Interior Plus phenolic resin panels feature a double-sided, double hardened, pore-free, sealed acrylic surface. The high pressure, thermosetting process results in a homogenous, non-porous material. The thermosetting resins are irreversibly cross-linked by chemical bonds during the curing process producing a non-reactive and stable material.
As mentioned above, the vast color and décor selection allows for ultimate design freedom and collaboration.
